An Option for Individual Positioning of a Text Block Attached to Multiple Pages

IWBNI it there were an option that could be used to specify that a given text block that is attached to multiple pages should be allowed to have individual positioning so that the text block could be placed at a different location on each page.

This feature would be useful for example, when the position of a running header or footer must be adjusted on a given page to avoid a collision with an extremely high or low note, or when a running footer must be moved down on a few pages to avoid a collision with the lowest system.

This could be implemented by using as a model, the existing functionality that allows measure-attached expressions or text repeats to have individual positioning. A checkbox called Allow Individual Positioning could be added to the Frame Attributes dialog box which is displayed when Attributes is selected from the Frame menu that is associated with the text tool. If this option is not selected, text blocks would be positioned as in the current version of Finale. If this option is selected, a given text block that appears on multiple pages could be placed at a different location on each page. When the handle of a text block on a given page is dragged or nudged, the position of the text block would be treated as a displacement from the base position established by the settings on the Frame Attributes dialog box in the same way that this is done for measure-attached expressions or text repeats with individual positioning.
