IWBNI there were an option to specify that whenever the position of the tip of a given slur that has not been reshaped manually, is changed by dragging the left or right control point that is within the bounding rectangle of the slur, the slur were automatically reshaped to conform to settings on the Slur Contour dialog box. As is it now, a slur is not automatically reshaped as a result of this operation.

Note: When the position of a tip of a given slur is changed, the length of the slur is changed, and the shape of a slur is a function of its length.

Slurs that have been reshaped manually would not be reshaped automatically. A given slur is said to be "reshaped manually" if any of the following operations has been performed on the control points that are within the bounding rectangle of the slur:

• The height of the slur has been modified by dragging the outer, middle control point.

 
• The inset of the slur has been modified by pressing Ctrl while dragging the left or right control point.

 
• The slur has been made asymmetrical by pressing Ctrl while dragging the outer, middle control point.
