Undo Changes Made to Avoid Collision of Seconds if Note Spelling is Changed

When the option Avoid Collision of Seconds is selected on the Music Spacing Options dialog box and Apply Note Spacing or Apply Beat Spacing is selected from the submenu MassEdit>Music Spacing, changes are made automatically to the position of notes and accidentals to eliminate collisions between second intervals formed from notes in different layers.

IWBNI all such changes that have been made to the position of the notes and accidentals in a given second interval were undone when the spelling or pitch of either note in the interval is changed. The same may be said of unison intervals, the changes to which are controlled by the option Avoid Collision of Unisons on the Music Spacing Options dialog box.

As it is now, all such changes remain for example, when the speedy entry tool is used to change the spelling of a note (by pressing 9) or the pitch of a note (by dragging the note vertically). Changes to note positions, but not accidental positions, may be removed by selecting Clear Manual Positioning on the Music Spacing Options dialog box. Or, changes may be deleted with the accidental mover and note position special tools (by pressing Back Space). Also, an affected note may be deleted and then re-entered.
