A Utility to Create Guitar-Fretboard Chord Diagrams
IWBNI there were a utility in Finale that would allow one to create guitar-fretboard chord diagrams.
A Select button could be added next to the existing checkbox for Show Fretboard on the Chord Definition dialog box. For a given chord, a default fretboard could be used if no fretboard were selected. The Select button could display a Fretboard Selection dialog box containing functionality similar to that of the Articulation Selection and Expression Selection dialog boxes (i.e. Select, Edit, Create, etc.). There could be an associated Fretboard Designer dialog box where one could quickly create a new diagram or edit an existing diagram.
Individual fretboard diagrams could be named to allow one to quickly find a given diagram in the list of available diagrams.
The set of fretboard diagrams in a given document could be saved into a library.
As it is now, diagrams may be created by using Shape Designer or by using a font editor such as Fontographer.
