Trimming Silence

Slow, alphabetical, well past methodical.
Contemporary of discrete disappointment,
sets & setting, wallpaper or breathing. Crystalline
descriptive excess made provisional attention-span
sated & reach slow. See his eclipses, see his sky.
To court porcelain indifference, well, we never did
that again. Don't be thrown by the fallen. Handing
rhyme to attitude, just keep going. (World-making
theoretical devotion.) Time & regret gave up on the
idea: the locution of desire. In intermittent afternoon
light, recall instances to serve as clear illustrations
& nimbly climb through to a cool garden.
